Our purpose
We are focused on promoting psychological wellbeing, inclusion and progress through the application of psychology. We work with school and setting staff, parents, carers and other agencies in order to identify areas of need and provide support to overcome barriers to learning for children and young people.

We work within a consultation framework, drawing from different psychological perspectives. A consultation meeting typically focuses on the key people who own the concern and are therefore best placed to make change happen. Sometimes there is a need to engage with more direct work, which may involve observations and individual work with the young person.

Our work
Strategic, systems & organisational level
- Supporting the development of whole school, setting or service strategies and systems
- Bespoke whole-school or setting Continuing Professional Development on topics with a psychological basis
- Project development and research work
Group level
- Psychological interventions to develop particular skills e.g. resilience, emotional regulation, underpinning academic and study skills, thinking skills, improving social skills and self awareness
- Group supervision offering opportunities to engage in problem solving and to identify ways forward
- Parent/carer workshops and training
Individual level
- Psychological assessment/ consultation to help define the nature and implications of children and young people's difficulties in order to inform interventions and approaches
- Support on setting and evaluating objectives, outcomes and impact
- Providing psychological understanding/ tools to adults focused on closing gaps in attainment, improving academic progress and supporting emotional wellbeing
- Individual supervision for practitioners
